Full Curl's have all the bells and whistles-Use on the water or on land- just remove the keel.
Quality flocking with airbrushing shading over the head flocking , to add shading and realism.
Drakes have adjusted paint scheme. More definition on the back and
color adjusted to true Mallard.
Hens: Have a totally new amazing paint scheme with more feather detail/colors to match
the true hen color/pattern.
FOAM Filled: FC ride better, don't sink and there is no pinging noise from deks on waves- to alert incoming ducks.
What does the flocking do for the duck?
The first thing you see when glassing a pond, is the contrast between the black & white on a drake Mallards tail!
Black/white flock on the tail make them pop, + flocked heads: white neck ring &
green heads with hand airbrush shading for added realism.
Drake's flocking emulates real feathers with the same
light reflective UV properties as real feathers.
White paint turns black under UV light, while white flocking holds it color. They have
seen all the painted decoys and flare off them.
Why not fully flock the Full Curls?
It is tricky to not get the sides and backs of the decoy to look just right, especially on bright days.
The hand painting and layering of paint on the sides ads subtle depth and color variation, that one color flocking does not have!
Further, in murky water, the water will could stain the flocked decoy sides and be harder to clean off.
No 'artsy effects', which may create some eye appeal 'in hand',
but Full-Curl's were designed to work in the wild.

Heads:The heads are designed to snap in with some force, so they will stay attached. If you experience difficulty, please refer to the above links.
Ensure the head socket is clean along with the head. Remove all debris/paint and the bottom of the head slightly- hot hari dryer.
Rester low heads may need a touch of glue, to stay in place. Variances in the manufacturing process can bring different tolerances.
Keels: FILL the Keels with sand, or water ( may leak out). For very fast water, add some shot.
Bags: If decoy heads protrude add some protection. Use HD freezer bags over heads. Best to buy Aero HD plastic bags- use as protective sleeve in the slotted bags .Fabric becomes abrasive in the cold, especially on long transports.

Heavy Duty Plastic Protective Bags
Heavy Duty Plastic Bags protect finish during transport. These bags are not shipped with the decoys.
Use in decoys bags as a sleeve to protect from fabric bags/ponchos, when cold temps make the coated fabric bags stiff and abrasive. Protect your decoys. The textured decoy surface can wear against each another,r or against the bags surface; therefore use the bags as sleeves in the slots. Punch holes in bottom of plastic bags for drainage. Make sure decoys are dry before storing.

1 Spray Can of Clear Krylon Matte Finish: Flat clear
tough coat. Sealer to prevent wear and protect the paint. Apply very light even coat to the decoy paint, but not the flocking. Heavy coats can run and create a shine. A second very light coat can be applied if desired. Works on all decoys, any brand. Important: Do not use Krylon over the flocking. Great for after purchase when a some more protection is needed. Can (This is the best substitute for the decoy owners. Aero's Production decoys use a professional coating that can not be shipped due to hazmat regulations. ) Matte MSDS Krylon's applications recommendation for surface preparation, etc. |

Aero highly recommend to put each decoy in a plastic bag
for transport to preserve the finish. Punch some hole to allow them to breath. If wet, dry out at home before replacing in the bags. DO NOT store decoys damp in bags....dry completely first. Paint is not available at this time. |
