Strategy:
When geese are passing you by or far off, showing motion in the decoys will attract their attention along with loud calling. Use non stop when far off while calling. Big flags work good until the geese get close. Seeing the flagging motion allows the geese to detect the source-your blind/pit location- and see you as your try to hide. The FW is out in front and can be activated from a distance with short easy 3-4 inch pull motion from in the blind, which allow no detection of your blind location.. Yes you can use two for added impact.
The the FW makes the critical difference close in. If the geese turn their heads towards you, then use until they are about 150 yards out.
if they make a pass, then flip it once when they swinging around the far side of the decoys (they can see the flash behind them). Watch their reaction. Do again if needed....and then as they come in get ready for the shot. Do not pull too fast- about 1/3 speed of the duck. Do at different times and different techniques to see what works best for your area.
Does the Flutter-Wing work every time-no. But more times than not it works and makes the critical difference to get the geese in close range for a kill shot!
